The People: Our joint background is in the hospitality industry, having spent many years looking after the needs and requirements of others. We therefore know how to recognise issues that matter to the client, and how to respond quickly and efficiently to provide solutions. Prior to this, Melissa trained and spent time as an interior designer, and Michael’s post university training took him to the City where he qualified as a chartered accountant. The reason we decided to settle on the Cote d’Azur is simple: a daughter, and a desire to give her the quality of life that is available in the south of France, as well as a bi-cultural experience. Michael is a dual national, and totally bilingual, as well as holding his own in Spanish, and so the move to a new way of life was that much easier. Our Difference: well, apart from the language skills, we offer a quality, bespoke, service to our clients. We are not setting out to break records, but to look after and meet the needs of some 12 to 20 clients a year. That enables us to focus on your requirements in a way that seems alien to many local agencies, from meeting you at Nice airport, setting out a routine for your stay in the area which will include driving you around to view the properties that have been preselected by mutual agreement, and acting as your advisor when it comes to assessing the value and merits of a particular property. Further we are not setting up a shop front, so that our work is done through the SIA06, a Multi Listing Service (MLS) which has a network of about 400 agencies along the Cote d’Azur, and through which we share property details and PrestigeMLS (a transeuropean association of estate agencies specialising in Luxury properties)– in a word a One Stop Shop style of service. Thus we can offer a search service for a potential buyer that is equal to none, make sure they are not overpaying by reference to a database continually updated in real time with actual selling prices, and then of course guide them through the buying process. Finally we’ll be bringing an Anglo-Saxon work ethic to bear, which means we will work to the client’s schedule – so, no daily unavailability between 12 and 2 and at weekends, and 2 straight months off in the summer is not a habit we will cultivate! Total Service: as well as a design function for those clients who want to make some changes to a property, we also offer a complete project management service, from initial consultation with the client, through specification, negotiation with contractors, overseeing the works, until eventual handover. |
